VFX Supervisor Jim Mitchell and VFX Producer Theresa Corrao have formed their own film company named Door 44 Films in London. Jim Mitchell's last project at ILM was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as one of the overall supervisors.
After graduating from school, Jim Mitchell joined Interface Video, a post house in Washington D.C., where he became director of animation and special effects. He worked there for 6 years where he used blue screens, motion control photography and computer graphics. He joined ILM in 1990 where he served as tape operator for Terminator 2: Judgment Day. He worked on such projects as Jurassic Park and The Mask as a CG artist. His first project as supervisor was Mars Attacks!. Other projects he supervised include Sleepy Hollow, Jurassic Park III, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, The Day After Tomorrow and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. He received an Academy Award nomination for Mighty Joe Young, three BAFTA nominations for Sleepy Hollow, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and one VES nomination for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Theresa Corrao has been a freelancer producer for some time but also got her start at ILM, working as producer and coordinator on such projects as Mars Attacks!, Sleepy Hollow and Jurassic Park III.
