ILMfan is the Unofficial Industrial Light + Magic site. It explores the past, present and future projects of ILM, the magic they create and the incredibly talented people behind them. Here on the main site you will find the latest news and information about ILM. There are also discussion forums, exclusive articles and an ever growing filmography list. ILM was founded by director George Lucas on May 1975 around Van Nuys, CA, to create the visual effects of Star Wars. Since then ILM has worked on over 200 film projects, countless commercials and several TV and special projects. ILM helped establish the modern era of VFX and has been recognized multiple times for their contributions to the industry. ILM continues creating their magic at the Letterman Digital Arts Center in San Francisco, California.
